We often become “stuck” in our lives because we are waiting for conditions to become “perfect” before we take action. While we wait for the right moment, our pain and suffering increase. There will never be the right time. There is no other time except NOW. That is all we have and all we will ever have. There will always be a reason not to do it. Sometimes we have to go through the fear and give up the need to be right and perfect and just go for it. It has been said that there is no such thing as failure. It is only when we don’t do it that we live a life of what might have been.
When we lack self esteem and don’t feel whole inside, we focus on things that give us brief rest from the pain. The brief second is fleeting and we are usually in more pain that we were before. The words “if only” are constantly in our thoughts. If only I were younger, thinner, prettier, richer. The list can go on and on. The problem is: even when we finally get these things, the pain is still there. We always have to have something else. The quest to quiet the “if only” never stops. It won’t work; it goes against the truth of spiritual principals. It is an ego thought. Thinking that something on the outside of us can fix the inside is a LIE.
